Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, lasting 29 or 30 days based on the sighting of the crescent moon. It is considered to be the most Holy Month for Muslims, the world over, and is of great significance in Islam.

The holy month of Ramadan is one of the greatest occasions of goodness, a month that Allah has favoured over others and when He ordered fasting. He the Almighty says, “O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.” (Al Baqara: 183). This was the month in which the first verses from the Holy Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by the Angel Jibrayil during one of the odd nights in the last ten days of Ramadan known as Layatul Qadr or the Night of Power.

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, improvement and increased devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset. In addition to abstaining from eating and drinking, Muslims also increase restraint, such as abstaining from generally sinful speech and behavior. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the soul by freeing it from harmful impurities. Ramadan also teaches Muslims how to better practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate; thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity through Zakat.

A month for giving. And gifting.

It is not just giving that is essential during the Holy Month of Ramadan; it is also customary to give elegant Ramadan gift items to one's family and loved ones, associates and colleagues. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said “Give gifts and you shall love one another.” The messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to accept gifts and used to give something in return. These are a way to thank and cherish the many important relationships in one's life. Gifts are mainly traditional in nature - and are selected with great care such that they reflect the grace of the Holy Month of Ramadan

Perfumes are always a better gift which was always loved and used by our Messenger of Allah (PBUH).

Ajmal. The essence of Ramadan gifting.

Ajmal Perfumes is the first name when it comes to traditional Arabic perfumery and the last word in giving exquisite gifts for the Holy Month of Ramadan. Besides the many enticing Dahn Al Oudhs and Mukhallats that Ajmal has to offer during Ramadan, what is of particular significance is the many Ajmal Gift Sets one can choose from for gifting.

Each Ajmal Gift Set is a tastefully complemented collection of an Eau De Parfum, Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Body Mist and Powder - in different gift combinations. And the selection of Gift Sets is amazing as well, with a collection of some of Ajmal's most well-known and appreciated fragrances forming the base for each Gift Set – from the inviting Ajmal Wisal to the beauty of Ajmal Abia; the sophistication of Ajmal Khallab to the legend of Ajmal Shams Dahn Al Oudh, and to the dazzling brilliance of Ajmal Aurum

Indeed, they say the moon and the stars combine during the Holy Month of Ramadan to spread their glitter of happiness. We at Ajmal Perfumes hope that this shimmer of peace and happiness touches you and all around you. Here's wishing you 'Ramadan Kareem'.
